The Indian Forging Industry has made rapid strides and currently, not only meets almost all the domestic demand, but has also emerged as a large exporter of forgings mostly due to an increase in demand from the Europe & North American Markets.

In the western region alone there are around 147 forging units, which account for an annual turnover of Rs. 15,000 crore, having a total installed capacity of 18.07 lakh MT accounting for 47% of the total installed capacity in India.

The forging industry is likely to witness a growth of more than 10% in the new fiscal year.
