Silica Refractory Brick

Silica bricks for coke oven is made of natural quartz stone with high SiO2 content (94%). Silica brick is used for coke oven's basic parts such as regenerator, chute, carbonization chamber, combustion chamber, coking chamber, furnace bottom and top, etc. The brick quality is one of the main factor that affect the service period of coke oven. With the enlargement of coke oven, the temperature in the main burning area has been rising, which requires higher quality bricks for oven.

Refractory coke oven bricks are coke oven bricks with tridymite as the main crystalline phase, used for building coke ovens. Modern coke ovens are large-scale heating equipment made of thousands of refractory materials and 10,000 tons of refractory materials. Silica brick for coke oven is a kind of siliceous refractory material, used to build coke oven with quartz crystal as the main phase. The modern silicate brick coke oven is a large-scale thermal equipment built with tens of thousands of tons of nearly 2,000 brick-like refractory materials, of which silica bricks account for 60% to 70% of the coke ovens. Coke oven silica bricks are used to build the regenerator wall, chute, combustion chamber, carbonization chamber and furnace roof of the coke oven.
